Fantastic.

The Democratic nominee for president just said that he opposes gay marriage because it violates the tenets of Christianity.

Why should I bother to fucking vote this year?

Was that at the Warren forum? I couldn't stomach watching it.

And I know that I say this as a non-Christian, but that is a BULLSHIT answer, and Obama is a crappy Christian if he actually believes that.

From CNN:

(Obama) also touched on same-sex marriage. When asked to define marriage, he told Warren, "It's a union between a man and a woman."

"For me as a Christian, it is a sacred union. God's in the mix," he said.

Obama added that he does support same-sex civil unions, saying, "I can afford those civil rights to others even if I don't have ... that view."

I mean, seriously. It's not bad enough that the first time these two debate in a room together, it's in a church moderated by a pastor. He's got to sell out on gay rights too. I was already pretty burned out on this cycle, but now... shit, I don't know why I should bother to care anymore.

I didn't know Obama said that. That's really disappointing. :(
